This week in our ‘5 questions with…’ series, we put the spotlight on Paul Berberian, Business development manager.
Q.1 – What excites you most about Gill and your role here?
Though not an engineer, or maybe because of that, I am fascinated with new technologies. Gill product solutions take me into many diverse applications – solar energy, autonomous ships, power generation, marine science, climate science and so many others. I learn something new every day.
Q.2 – What interests you most about the industry?
I am an avid scuba diver, and the new technologies and applications from our maritime customers always drive my interest.
Q.3 –How do you see technology impacting your role over the next 5 years?
Weather data is becoming more valuable and more ubiquitous. AI tools that can accurately predict long-term weather will be the next great leap forward.
Q.4 -Who has inspired you the most in your career, and what did you learn from them?
There have been so many that have inspired me in my sales career. My Dad got me my first job. My mentors over the years have honed my skills, attitude, and my persistence over the (many) years. If you are always open to learn, your mentors will be found in the most unlikely places.
Q.5 -Tell us something about yourself that might surprise us.
I am a follower of Jesus Christ. I hope that’s not too much of a surprise.
