Q.1 – Tell us a little about what you do at Gill.
Hi, I’m Tang, and at Gill I focus on expanding our distributor and partner network across Southeast Asia. A big part of my role is building strong relationships and positioning Gill competitively in this dynamic region.
Q.2 – What excites you most about Gill and your role here?
What excites me most about Gill is the innovation behind our environmental sensing solutions. We have a dedicated Team and engineers that can develop new innovative products and solutions.
It’s inspiring to represent products that truly set the benchmark for precision and reliability, and I enjoy the challenge of bringing them into new markets.
Q.3 –Tell us what interests you most about the industry?
For me, the most interesting part is how measurement isn’t just about data—it’s about enabling smarter energy decisions, protecting communities, and driving sustainability in one of the fastest-growing regions in the world.
Q.4 –What’s one thing that makes Gill a good place to work?
One of the best things about Gill is the collaborative culture. People genuinely listen to ideas, whether they come from someone new or someone who’s been here for years.
It doesn’t feel like you’re just ticking boxes – you’re contributing to something that has an impact, whether that’s helping cities monitor air quality or supporting climate research.
Q.5 – What’s the most useful skill you’ve picked up in your career, and did you expect to need it?
The most useful skill I’ve picked up is understanding each country’s unique requirements and purchasing behaviors. I didn’t expect it to be so essential.
It’s the ability to adapt to different business cultures and regulatory landscapes that really makes the difference in building trust and winning opportunities across Southeast Asia.
